You are able to get morning sickness relief by taking rest, when your body is not taking enough rest then it gives of signals that will make you rest! Sickness unfortunately is one of those signals. There are no drugs that can be prescribed to give you morning sickness relief as it wouldn’t be safe for you or the unborn child to take medications. You have to weigh up the advantages and disadvantages of the sickness and put into focus the outcome of your pregnancy.

One extremely popular form of morning sickness relief has proved to be a sickness band that is worn around the wrist. The bands are said to produce small pulses that are sent off around the body to help stimulate acupuncture points. The bands are similar to those used for the treatment of travel sickness. Common sense will tell you to avoid taking long distance trips while you are feeling sick.

One other form of natural medication on offer for unlucky women is magnetic bands that are to be worn around the wrist. Once again with the magnetic bands it’s said that they stimulate P6 acupuncture points that are said to block the symptoms of nausea. Take plenty of rest and try to avoid taking oral medications that could potentially damage the unborn foetus.

Pregnancy can be a joyous time, one where you can start preparing for your new child and celebrating the new life that is about to be born.  However during pregnancy, unfortunately most new mothers and some previous mothers have to deal with constant motion sickness that seems to debilitate them at every turn.  Massive vomiting and nausea can make everything harder throughout the experience, making some things near impossible such as traveling and morning sickness.  Some women are often afraid to go anywhere because they do not understand traveling and morning sickness.

Sometimes it may seem that traveling and morning sickness go hand in hand because motion sickness greatly replicates the same feelings of nausea that pregnant women get.  However, there are no scientific links that show pregnant women are more prone to motion sickness just because they are already experiencing many bouts of morning sickness.  What many women often experience that they assume is a cause of traveling and morning sickness is not motion sickness, but just another bout of morning sickness brought on by an odor or something they ate while traveling.

Sometimes the symptoms of motion sickness are very similar to morning sickness, which is why car or sea travel can present to make it look as traveling and morning sickness are causing your intense nausea.  In fact, the symptoms of an unsettled stomach are so similar that sometimes women who take travel motion medications are helped deal with their own cases of morning sickness.  Sometimes pregnant women find that sea motion bracelets actually help qualm their morning sickness because they help balance the fluids in the ear which is often disturbed both in cases of traveling and morning sickness.

Morning sickness is thought to be caused by an imbalance in estrogen and the “pregnancy” hormone which causes a chemical imbalance in turn causing nausea.  A chemical imbalance is also involved with motion sickness which is why people often consider the two related.  Thus, if you are afraid of traveling and motion sickness there is no need to be.  You are no more likely to experience motion sickness while traveling if you are pregnant then if you were not.

However, since it can be hard to control morning sickness no matter where you are it is quite possible to feel extremely ill while traveling for separate reasons.  You should not fear traveling and motion sickness but consider taking precautions to ward off your morning sickness symptoms such as travel aids.

Pregnancy is a special time; one filled with exciting moments such as the first time your child kicks or when you see your child on the ultrasound in the doctor’s office.  Unfortunately, pregnancy is also filled with some not so glorious times, such as gaining weight and coping with morning sickness.  Coping with morning sickness in particular can be a trying time, especially if it seems like you will never be able to able to keep a meal down again.  However, with the right vitamins and therapeutic activities it is possible to learn how you can effectively start coping with morning sickness.

One great way you can start coping with morning sickness is to start taking Vitamin B6 on a regular basis.  Although the exact cause of morning sickness is unknown, it is commonly understood that morning sickness is a result of too much estrogen combined with what is known as the “pregnancy hormone.”  Vitamin B6 helps control the amount of estrogen that is produced which helps the body stabilize.  Therefore, if you add more Vitamin B6 to your diet along with folic acid you will start coping with morning sickness better because it will be less frequent.

Light meals throughout the day instead of the standard three heavy meals of breakfast, lunch, and dinner can also help you learn to cope with morning sickness.  This is because you are gently introducing solid foods to your stomach instead of bombarding it with combinations of items that will make you physically ill later.  Some women also claim that ginger tea and warm milk with meals also helps stabilize and comfort the stomach making it easier to begin coping with morning sickness.

It also helps you to address what your body is missing while coping with morning sickness.  Frequently, women who suffer from morning sickness often become anemic and dehydrated.  Therefore you want to make sure you drink liquids frequently that you find do not bring on morning sickness and/or try electrolyte lollipops which will replenish your body.  Prenatal vitamins will also help keep your body strong for baby and you.

Although it may seem like it at the time, coping with morning sickness is possible even though you may presently feel you have flash backed to freshmen year of college with your frequent visits to the porcelain god.  However, by keeping your body strong and revitalized with vitamins and liquids you will find yourself learning how to properly start coping with morning sickness.

Morning Sickness has been plaguing women since the dawn of time.  It is that nauseous feeling  during the first trimester of pregnancy.  It sometimes involves vomiting.  But we all hate it.  For one thing, it doesn’t only happen in the morning, it can happen all through out the day, and sometimes lasts all day long.  Unfortunately it doesn’t limit itself to the first trimester either.  It can last even longer in some women.  These three tips can help reduce the severity of your morning sickness.

First, some food and smells can bring on the morning sickness spells, so avoid them.  If you know that the smell of coffee makes you nauseous, try to avoid it.  Ask your significant other to get coffee from the nearest convenience store.  A helpful way to keep track of this is to keep a small notebook handy to write them down when you encounter them.  Some women feel nauseous with so many foods and smells, it is almost necessary to write them down in order to remember them.  It is also handy to give the list to your family members so they don’t accidentally bring you something on your list.

Next, if you have been having morning sickness and you know that as soon as you wake up it hits you, put some crackers by your bed.  Before you get out of bed, eat a few.  Salty foods, such as crackers and chips, have been shown to decrease the nausea and allow you to eat a proper meal.  You can carry crackers with you when you go out to ease the morning sickness that may hit you outside your house.  Don’t lay down after you eat.  Many people think, “Oh, I feel sick, I need to lay down.”  That is the last thing you should do.

Finally, stay out of the heat.  If you have been experiencing morning sickness, heat can make you feel worse.  If you know that heat makes you feel nauseous, stay out of the sun, avoid cooking on the stove, and use a sheet or light blanket in bed to keep from overheating in the night.  That is a good reason to get your loved ones to cook for you.  If you live alone, use the microwave instead.  It’s not always as good as a home cooked meal, but it sure beats feeling nauseous.

In conclusion, while morning sickness is a nuisance to say the least, there are some things you can do to help yourself.  Avoid food and smells that bring on morning sickness.  Eat crackers or chips when you feel your stomach begin to upset, and avoid heat.  Remember, it won’t last the whole pregnancy, usually, so keep telling yourself it will eventually stop.

When I was pregnant I used to feel sick all the time, not just the mornings. Nobody warned me about that one! I can remember certain smells that used to set me off into gut wrenching stomach-crunching bouts of vomiting down the lavatory!

Unfortunately morning sickness isn’t restricted to just mornings, as the name would suggest. In fact the majority of mums-to-be experience nausea in the morning, evening and night. It really is not limited to the morning hours, it can occur at any time, and more often than not at the times when you will least expect it.

It may be comforting to know that you are not alone and that between 60%-80% of women experience morning sickness, but that’s hardly likely to help you feel any better.

In most cases there are simple things you can do reduce or eliminate morning sickness such as watching what you eat and ensuring you eat regular, small meals and keeping yourself well hydrated by drinking lots of glasses of water.

It may seem like the end of the world but morning sickness is manageable and easily curable.
